This year, I want to write more and take this blog to the next level in 2026, but in a way that still feels honest and grounded in real life at home with kids. This post is a collection of January blog ideas inspired by slower days, colder weather, and a gentler approach to goals and routines.

Blogging in 2026
Every year I see the same conversation come up again and again. Blogging is dead. No one reads blogs anymore. You have to be on every social platform for it to matter. And honestly, I just do not buy it.
Personal blogs still have staying power, especially ones rooted in real life and written by real people. Viewership is still there. Search traffic is still there. And revenue is absolutely still there when you treat your blog like something worth building instead of a hobby you apologize for.
What has changed is how we blog. People are tired of overly polished content and generic advice and the dreaded AI slop. That is where personal blogs will have their moment.
A mom sharing what actually works in her home, her routines, her food, her resets. That kind of content ages well and continues to be found long after it is published.
Going into 2026, my goal is to write more consistently and more intentionally. Not chasing every trend, but creating content that feels grounded and helpful and worth returning to. I love using Pinterest to drive traffic and that will be a big focus for me in 2026.
Blogging is not dead. It is evolving. And there is still plenty of room for personal blogs to grow, earn, and last.
