Hello fellow gardeners! If you’re anything like me, you appreciate the beauty of a well-tended garden and the joy that comes with nurturing life. As a mom expecting her second bundle of joy, gardening has always held a special place in my heart. In fact, I couldn’t resist blending my love for growing things with the excitement of announcing my pregnancy.
Last fall, I planted a little surprise for my husband—a pacifier nestled in the green bean section of our garden. His reaction was priceless, and it marked the beginning of a new season for our family.
Inspired by this heartfelt moment, I’ve gathered some wonderful garden-themed pregnancy announcements to help you celebrate your own growing family. Whether you have a green thumb or just appreciate the beauty of nature, these announcements are bound to make your pregnancy reveal as enchanting as a blossoming garden.

When should I announce my pregnancy?
Whenever you want! I personally waited until 12+ and 20+ to “announce to the world” with my pregnancies.
Some people choose to go by the “12 week rule”, and wait until after the rate of miscarriage drastically falls. However, more and more women are choosing to tell earlier than that.
Pros of Telling Before 12 Weeks:
- Excitement: Sharing the news early allows you to involve loved ones in the joyous anticipation of your pregnancy.
- Support System: Building a support network early on can provide emotional and practical assistance throughout the journey.
- Honesty: Sharing the news reflects transparency and fosters open communication with friends and family.
Cons of Telling Before 12 Weeks:
- Uncertainty: The first trimester carries a higher risk of miscarriage, and sharing early means potentially discussing loss with others.
- Privacy: Waiting provides you with a private space to navigate early pregnancy without external pressures or opinions.
- Work Considerations: Professional considerations may arise if your workplace has specific policies or if you prefer keeping the news confidential initially.
Note: Every pregnancy journey is unique, and these considerations may vary. It’s essential to choose the timing that feels right for you.
